Happy New Year. I had this thing sitting in a tab since 2pm.

See last post for info on the characters.

I'm not really good with giving reviews and such on TV series, so I'm just going to give my thought about the Bords of Prey TV series. It really wasn't too bad. It was better than I expected.

I'm not going to go into great detail about most of the series - just the first episode, really. If I do, it'll get way too long. I do talk a bit about the last episodes, so - if you think it counts - spoiler warning.
Now, about the show itself. )

Happy New Year. Here's my last post of the year. And it's about the Birds of Prey TV series. I've watched up to episode 11 so far, so there's somethings that I can't really comment on yet. This part will only be about the characters, I'll get to the series itself tomorrow. (This got so long.)

Overview and thoughts of the characters, contains much info on the series )

Okay. I found a wierd little thing when going through my archive:

Booster: "It's gonna eat me!"
Beetle: "No it's not."
Booster: "Yes it is!"
Beetle: "Booster, it's a mouse. It's too small to eat you."
Booster: "It could try!"

Okay, I...Well, I'm not exactly giving up. I'm just not going to do the Calculus placement test right now.

I'm tired.

I still need to finish the Philosophy final - I've got three questions left. I have to study for my Physics final. I'll be studying for my Biology final tomorrow - yes, right before I take it, but I'll have a little more than 2 hours before I take it. (Phys final is at 9am, not cumulative and should take me about half an hour to do, and my Bio final is at 1pm. I've been doing all of my bio exam studying right before the exam. I have an A in the lecture.)

I didn't really give myself enough time to do that plus the placement test.

I'm going to wait 'til the end of the upcoming semester to take the Calc placement test. This way, I'll have more time to study for it.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, quark101 sent to me...
Twelve autobots drumming
Eleven explosions piping
Ten transformers a-leaping
Nine superbuddies dancing
Eight books a-milking
Seven decepticons a-swimming
Six mythbusters a-laying
Five be-e-e-east wars
Four young avengers
Three edward scissorhands
Two star wars
...and a boostle in a 2001: a space odyessy.
Get your own Twelve Days:

I now have the mental image of Decepticons doing a slightly awkward synchronized swimming routine.
And:
"I'm sorry Michael. I'm afraid I can't do that."
"Stop that Ted."

Hope you had a great day.

huh. I thought that I had much more manga than I actually had. I am keeping most of them. Shut up. And I was kinda torn on one series. I kinda want to keep these two volumes, but I don't. So, I'm going to ask said friend (from last post) if he wants them, along with a Shonen Jump issue. The rest are getting sold.

quark101: (Oh please)
Today I went through most of my books and some other things that were packed up in storage. It was an adventure. I found a lot of books that I don't even remember reading. I also found a lot of book to sell/give away. Some of the books are going to be mailed to my younger cousins, along with assorted other things that I've found. I'm going to ask if a friend would want a couple books. The rest are going to be sold to a used book store or donated to the library.

Soon, I'll have to go through my toys. I am looking forward to that.

I? am tired.
So, I've got this whole week off for Thanksgiving. Then, I have, like, a week and a half of classes & finals, then it's Winter Vacation (I have no idea how long that will be). I need to register for classes soon, too. But, I have to take a test in order to get into Calculus I - which I need for my major.

I hate math. I've got an exam in Trig tomorrow. Taking a break from studying now.

And? I don't know why I'm doing this, but I figured "why not?" (I need to post more anyway.)
quark101: (lovers: brainy/lyle)
Okay. I know that DCcomics.com somethimes changes the release date of monthly issues. I know that sometimes issues get pushed back because someone didn't meet their deadline or whatever.

But this:
FINAL CRISIS: LEGION OF THREE WORLDS #3 (OF 5)
On Sale January 14, 2009
FINAL CRISIS: LEGION OF THREE WORLDS #4 (OF 5)
On Sale December 24, 2008
Seriously?

I think someone got the dates switched.
Simple mistake I suppose, but I find it both a bit amusing and rather confusing - at first at least.

Your result for The Director Who Films Your Life Test...

Edward D. Wood, Jr.

Your film will be 48% romantic, 29% comedy, 22% complex plot, and a $ 18 million budget.

Ed Wood will get your film done waaaaay under budget, and will likely make it into a classic film of all time -- for all the wrong reasons. Let's face it, your life isn't terribly exciting to begin with, and it needs some camping up. His resume includes classics such as Plan Nine From Outer Space and Glen or Glenda? He's not afraid to tackle controversial topics, and may insist on portraying a transvestite in your film -- even if you've never seen a transvestite before. He was immortalized in the Academy Award winning Tim Burton film, Ed Wood -- go see it.

Yeah, my life's not terribly exciting, really.

(Also, I'm finally typing up the next chapters to IAR. I have a crapload of little snippets written in my notebook. I can't tell you when I'll post it up, though. Still nothing new for Rumor Has It, though. Sorry.)
