Did they forget about Lyrl or does Vril Jr. spawn again? (And if he does, how? Will he clone himself? Or have off-screen "relations" with an unknown woman we'll never know about? Why is this the first thing I think of when I read this?)

(Random: 1 issue and 3 annuals, and I'll have all of LEGION/REBELS. This will be the first long-running series that I'll have the entire series of once I get these.)

EDIT: Added some random musings.

It's not that they forgot Lyrl, but that this run of Rebels is a reboot. The previous comic does not in any way apply. :)
From what I've read, and I'm not totally sure it's right, this series plays off the idea that was running in Action Comics.. where Brainiac 1 has never actually been seen, merely dups and droids, and has been around for hundreds of years collecting cities. In the previous series he'd only been Brainiac 1, the mentalist villain, for a few decades.
Should be interesting to see how Vril II has changed due to this.

Huh. I had completely forgotten about that storyline in Action Comics...and I bought it, too.
And, yes, it would be interesting.
